This is an image of a little “collage” of different places combined, and I gave it the name “The Town of History.” The assignment for this project was, that we were given different images of these locations and had to pick at least 5 of them (in my case i took 8) and then we had to find at least 2 additional objects to add to our image (in my case I chose the dragons and the birds), the last step of this project was to combine theses different elements in to one location and make it look as realistic as possible, ( which is where i chose is mountain and gras landscape). To make it even harder on my self I chose on that had water with reflection in it but I feel like I made it work pretty well.
For this major project, I mainly used selection tools and layer masks. I did some other cool things, like bringing in a bird image and multiplying it to take out the background, adding portions of the background image above the building levels to create an illusion of the foreground, and blending modes to create the illusion of reflections in the water.
